A is for Atonement by Donnilee

Being that I am a big fan of Donnilee's work, I have read
many of her works, I have found that this story is one 
of her more 'in character' stories.  If  Mulder and Scully
where to ever succumb to their feelings and admit them to
each other I think that the theme of this story would be
one of the more likely situations to happen. The interaction
between Mulder and Scully on the phone I felt was a realistic
situation that I could see being played out.  I don't think
that our dynamic duo would ever be able to admit their 
feelings to each other face to face, the exchange of feelings
over the phone was right on.    My favorite quote from this
story is "Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's amazing!  The 
King and Queen of denial, both masters at passive/aggressive
avoidance tactics have managed to have a real live conversation. 
About FEELINGS, no less.  Do miracles never cease, Bob?  And
what's in store for them next.  Tune in tomorrow ... ". 
I could, absolutely, see Mulder saying something like that.
The smut of course was great, as Donnilee's always is, it was
played out well .  The scene was something that I could envision
as a realistic consummation of the relationship.   I give this
story a rating of 8 based on it's realistic characters and story
line, and of course for the good old fashioned smut.
