Review by House of Fanfic Happy Birthday, Love certainly lives up to its warnings of being explicit and then some. So any and all that are up for a sexfest will certainly not be disappointed since Mulder and Scully barely manage to get out of bed for the entire story, and when they do, the sex still doesn't stop. With the understanding that we have never been given the opportunity to see first hand how our favorite couple would be in any sort of romantic/erotic situation I realize that it would be difficult to correctly ascertain proper characterization. However, for my own personal plumb line, I found it to stray greatly from what I would condider reasonably expected characterization. At the same time though I tried to keep in mind that this writer was trying to show a darker side to both of our heroes. This writer certainly has a wonderful imagination. Being an true believer in the meanings behind the colors of roses, I loved the wonderfully romantic scavenger hunt that Mulder took the time to set up for Scully for her birthday. This was certainly my favorite part of the story. It was very romantic and I think that any woman would be envious of such extravagant romance. All in all I give this story a 5 1/2 out of 10
