House of Fanfic Review Review: Jealous Rival By Donnilee Dark and disturbing are the first two words that come to mind after reading "Jealous Rival" by Donnilee. Thought provoking and well written are the next four. While I must admit pieces like this are not my usual fare, Donnilee made the journey something just short of poetic for me. Potential readers should be warned, and they are by the author, this particular story contains some pretty serious and potentially disturbing subject matter. If you are the sensitive sort, you may want to overlook this one. If you aren't, however, it is definitely worth the time to read, as are many of the author's other works. In the prologue, Donnilee gives us a taste of the profiling Mulder we have seen so very little of in the past few years. From there, she proceeds to weave a gossamer web of lies, deceit and half-truths. Yep, that means the man we all love to hate, Krycek, is involved. Bill Scully and family make an appearance as well. Not to mention that big, beautiful, bald…ehem…Skinner is there as well. To tell anything more, would give away the story, and the very surprising ending. I rate this an 8 out of 10. IMHO: One to read!! Jewel
