Author's notes: I figured this would be fun... and for those of you who don't know what "Red Shoe Diaries" is (where have you been?!? *grin*) it's the Showtime soft-porn show that David Duchovny does the framing sequences for and his character's name is Jake. Jake is recovering from the loss (and betrayal) of what he refers to as a 'once in a lifetime love': his fiancee would go out cheating on him wearing red shoes, and then later write in her diary about it. She killed herself after he confronted h er about it... and he's been in recovery since... I think. At first I started watching to see what sort of actor David Duchovny was outside the X Files, but then I realised I liked some of the 'letters'. And since this is *supposed* to be soft core... well... figure it out! *grin* I've also had the idea for this stuck in my head since I first watched an episode of "Red Shoe Diaries". I thought it would be really funny for Scully to be writing to someone who looks exactly like Mulder, though she doesn't know it. *snicker* Rating: NC-17, MSR, V, no X-File, except, of course, what's taken them so long to get to this point. Spoilers: Ummmm... nada.... except, I hope, that they're in character Summary: Jake gets a letter from an FBI agent about her first time with the love of her life. WARNING: There is LOTS of smut in this story... and that is about all there is. If you are looking for a plot, you are in the wrong place. Don't say I didn't warn you. He found a bench and the dog which had been following him sat at his feet as he sat down to open the letter he was carrying in his hand. "Hmm. J. Edgar Hoover building post mark. Stella, this one is going to be interesting. I just know it." he said, unfolding the letter. Stella barked an affirmative. "Dear Red Shoes," he read aloud. "I saw your ad and felt I had to answer it. Even though this has nothing to do with losing a love, or being betrayed, or betraying another. Instead, this has everything to do with finding the once in a lifetime love you were referring to. I believe I've found mine, and maybe this will be able to help you out.." --- "My partner and I have worked together for many years. He and I have radically differing views on how we approach solving the problems which come up in our work. He tends to believe in more extreme possibilities, while I try to use science and logic in making my decisions, and solving the cases. He usually asks for my advice, but rarely takes it. You wouldn't think we would be ideally suited for each other, but then, you don't know my partner. "From the moment I first met him after accepting the assignment to be his partner, he's been a very intriguing character. He'd gained a nickname for what he was good at, but it didn't really suit him at all., at least not usually. His given name better suits him, but he dislikes being addressed by that. "Of course, having worked with him for so long, we've been through a great deal. Including both of us almost dying several times, me from kidnapping and cancer, and him from fire, then ice.. "One morning, I woke up and decided I'd lied to myself enough for one lifetime and that I was going to tell my partner what had been true since the day I met him: That I was very attracted to him as more than just a friend. I also wanted him to know that there were feelings I had for him for a long time, and those feelings have been growing since then. I was a little nervous because I didn't know how he would take it. I kept replaying what I wanted to say in my mind. * * * * * The halls were deserted and the only thing standing in the corridors were empty metal bookshelves. A red-haired woman walked into the basement office where she worked, and where her partner, dark-haired, hazel-eyed, and thoughtful behind his glasses, was studying a file. "Mulder, can we talk?" she asked. "Sure, Scully... hang on a second." Mulder put down the file and was about to take off his glasses when he felt Scully's hand on his own. "Leave them on." Her voice was warm and silky in his ear. At the same time, she slid on her own glasses, and gave him a look. One that smouldered. If there had been any flammable fumes in the area, they would have ignited. It was almost as though the lenses of her glasses served only to magnify the emotions in her eyes, as well as his own. "Why, Scully, are you coming onto me?" Mulder's eyebrow quirked. "That depends, Mulder, do you want me to be coming onto you?" Scully smiled. "How personal is this going to get?" "Does it matter?" "Ummm. Yeah. It does." Mulder squirmed. His heart had started beating loudly and quickly. "How's this for personal...?" Scully asked, as she sat down beside him. "I have very strong feelings for you. I've had them for quite some time." There was a tremble of hesitation in her voice. "What sort of feelings?" he asked, hesitant, and with a note of fear in his voice. "Not very partnerly, non-platonic feelings." "Uh... Scully, are you sure this is a good idea?" He looked into her eyes, and realised that aside from the feelings she had just pointed out to him, he could barely read her. "What? Telling you I have feelings for you or wanting to act on them? And don't worry, Mulder, this won't lead to a sexual harassment lawsuit or complaint against you if you tell me you feel the same way." She smiled at him again. Mulder did a double take and his jaw dropped. Scully was forced to stifle a laugh. Mulder could be so funny sometimes, and so dense. Especially for an Oxford graduate. "Wanting... to act on them? Scully, what are you telling me here?" Scully didn't answer verbally. Instead, she leaned in and captured his mouth with her own, giving him a deep, hungry kiss. Mulder groaned into the kiss. All of his fantasies about her were coming true. And, apparently, so were hers about him. His tongue ventured out of his mouth and traced gently along Scully's lower lip. She sighed into the kiss and pulled him closer. "Uh... Dana, should we be doing this here?" he asked, breathlessly, pulling away slightly. "Someone might walk in on us... either that or you are going to regret this later..." "You're right, Mulder. Hang on a second." she answered, pulling away, walking over to the door, locking it, and then starting the CD player she had set on her desk a few months ago. Then, she was back near him, taking him into her arms. "Now, where were we?" "Dana???" Was all that was said before she pulled him closer again and kissed him soundly. He gasped as he felt her hands move down and cup against his already growing erection. He hissed softly and his hands found her breasts, kneading them gently, causing her to moan. The heat of her hands even through his clothing was arousing him more than he thought previously possible. "Dana... do you really want to do this?" Mulder broke the kiss briefly to ask his partner again. "Yes, Mulder-" "Well, since you're sure, you might as well call me Fox..." Mulder grinned. "You're sure about this? After all, aren't you the one who said that you even made your parents call you 'Mulder'... even though they don't." "Well, you know parents, Scully." Mulder grinned. "They do whatever they damn well they please." "Yes, I do, Mulder... now, Fox, shut up and kiss me." she beamed. He leaned in and captured her mouth again, tongue probing and tasting, giving Dana a reason to open her own mouth and invite his eager tongue in. He sighed deeply at the taste of her. She was sweet, and tasted of something uniquely Dana Scully. It may have seemed cliched but their clothes felt as though they'd melted off of each of their heated bodies and they were soon touching skin on skin, groaning in pleasure at the sensations. Had they each had the time and patience, this would have been a slow, deliberate, and very pleasurable process. As it was, they'd both been fighting off their desires for over six years, and the moment of giving in was lusty, and hurried. Mulder carefully draped his clothing over the chair before sitting down and then pulling Scully to him. The moment Mulder entered Scully for the first time, both of them felt something click deep within each of them, as well as the resonace in the other. It was as though their souls had been waiting for this exact moment and now that it was finally up on them, their love, as well as the bond between them, only grew stronger with each passing moment. "Oh, God, Mulder... I love you..." Dana Scully's voice was husky and breathless. At the same time, Mulder buried his face in her shoulder, kissing and nibbling gently until she started to rotate her hips ever so slowly. The sensation drove them both closer to the edge. "Scully...." Her name was one long, drawn out, moan. "Oh, Scully... I can't control myself if you keep doing that." he managed to moan. "Then don't, Fox. We have plenty of time for slow and tender later..." Dana licked his ear hotly, and both felt the last threads of control slip out of their fingers. He held her against him and then began to thrust into her hard, crying out in pleasure with each motion. Dana gasped and moaned his name, first and last, repeatedly. When, at last, they came together in a blinding light, their arms locked their bodies closer together and they held each other close as they drifted down from the high of their shared orgasm. "So beautiful... so wonderful... I love you, Dana..." Mulder murmured, trailing kisses along her hairline. Dana giggled tiredly. "You were great too, Fox." "We can't stay here... how about we go over to my place, I pick up a few things, we take the weekend off, and then spend it in bed at your place?" "Mind reader. I see they didn't call you spooky for nothing." Dana grinned. "Do you think I'm spooky?" Mulder's breath was hot on her ear and she shivered. "Oh, yeah.... oh, baby, yeah..." Dana answered breathily. *** The apartment was dark and the only thing lighting it was the fishtank on the bookshelf and the streetlight from outside the window. There was the snick of keys in the lock and then the door creaked open quietly. Looking a little rumpled and worse for wear, Mulder walked in and Dana was right behind him, also looking a touch wrinkled. "So, do you want to get a few things together so that I don't have to worry about you going to work Monday morning in a rumpled suit?" Scully asked, smiling, as she closed the door. "In a minute..." Mulder said, moving closer to her and backing her against the door. His mouth came down onto hers, and they were kissing passionately against the door again. Scully's hands wandered down to cup his erection with her hands, and he hissed. "That didn't take you long, Dana..." he murmured, sending shivers down her spine. "Nor you, Mulder..." "What happened to 'Fox'?" Mulder asked, a little petulant. "I figured I would be better off saving that for the bedroom, *Fox*." she said, deliberately putting an emphasis and intonation on the name. She felt the shiver go through his body as well as a twitch from the certain portion of his body she still had her hands on. "Ooh, Dana, you know what I like." he said, warmly, pulling her to him. She wrapped her arms around him and held him as close to her as he did the same. It was at that moment that Mulder chose to sweep her into his arms and carry her to the couch. "Mulder, do you really think doing this on the couch is a good idea?" "Scully, do you want to know how many times I've fantasized about doing this to you...?" "A lot?" Scully grinned, raising an eyebrow. "Dana, you know what I like..." "You still haven't answered me, *Fox*..." Dana Scully purred. Mulder groaned. "God, Dana, you know I am helpless when you use that tone..." "So answer me already..." "As for doing it on the couch, we're going to have to... my bed is a mess..." Mulder sighed, starting to pull away, just in case. Dana wrapped her arms around him. "Nuh-uh, Fox Mulder, you've not finished what you started here..." she grinned wickedly at him. It was Mulder's turn to raise an eyebrow, and then Scully pulled him closer. "Let's do something about those fantasies of yours, then..." she smiled at him, and he thought his heart was going to burst from the warmth and happiness he saw in her eyes, as well as another emotion. She pulled him closer and they kissed hungrily. Mulder slipped his hands under the openings in her blouse as his hands had been busy while they'd been talking, and she gasped as he pinched her nipples, even through her bra. She gasped, and her hands reached down the waistband of his suitpants and cupped him in her hands. "Oh, Dana.... oh, Danaaaaa....." he groaned out. "Yes, Mulder?" she panted, moving her hands and running fingers through his hair and kissing him deeply. "Tell me you want me inside of you... I want to be inside of you so very badly right now..." he moaned, dipping slighly to nibble at her breasts, even through her blouse and bra. "I want you inside me..." she gasped, as he pushed up her skirt and pushed aside her panties. With a great thrust, he was inside her again, her heat and love surrounding him and he gasped. "Oh, Mulder... I love you..." she cried, feeling his hands roam her body under her blouse and skirt, even as she caressed his chest, back and shoulders. His lips were at the soft skin of her neck, and nipped gently at it. He was proving to both of them that he could be rough and gentle even at the same time. His mouth was gently trailing kisses along her upper body, eliciting panted moans from her lips, even while he was roughly thrusting under her. Maybe it was due to the fact that they were making love for the second time in a little under an hour's span though neither had done such a thing before, but the orgasm which hit both of them was almost a surprise. The feeling radiated from them both in nearly visible spectrum, and they both screamed wordlessly, feeling their souls partially merge together. After a time of just being wrapped in each others arms, Dana kissed Mulder's chest, and then started doing a prelimiary examination of her clothing. "I'm a mess." she said, finally. "Yeah, but you're *my* mess." "You're insatiable." "And you love me for it." "Well... may-be." she grinned at him again. "It's a good thing I brought my overnight bag in with us, considering I'd left it in your car from the last time we went out of town on assignment. Otherwise, I'd have nothing to wear." "And what's wrong with having nothing to wear?" Mulder's answer came with the requisite mischeivious sparkle of the eye. "Mulder, get your mind out of your pants..." "Ahh, Dana, that's easier said than done, considering you're currently IN my pants." he grinned back at her. In reply, Dana leaned up and met his mouth with her own, effectively shutting him up. *** Scully let them into her apartment, and dumped Mulder's duffle bag beside the door before going to the dining room and setting down the box of takeout food they'd ordered on the way over from his apartment to hers. "Dana, where do you want me?" he asked, after stowing his stuff in the bedroom. "I called Skinner and let him know that we were both taking the weekend off. You were tired, and we both needed the rest. So... where do you want me?" he askeda gain. He found her at the dining table setting out the food they'd ordered and brought home with them. "Here, there, and everywhere, Fox." she smiled at him. "I think that was a Beatles song once." "It was... but that's not important right now." she answered, pulling his arms around her waist and then kissing him tenderly. They stayed entwined and embraced for a few long minutes, exploring the contours of each other's bodies and mouths, as well as each other's thoughts. With each close encounter, their minds had begun the process of intertwining as well as their souls. Though it may have sounded cliche, they had gotten ever closer starting with their first lovemaking. Finally, Dana drew away. Fox stuck his lower lip out at her, pouting, and she was tempted to suck on it as she had several times already. She felt as though she couldn't get enough of him. Then, her stomach growled, interrupting her temptation mid thought. She turned her mind to something equally essential. "Food's getting cold." "Isn't that what microwave ovens are for?" Mulder murmured, nuzzling her neck, and she shuddered as her body began reacting accordingly. "Mulder, we need to keep up our energy, you know. There's no point in either of us collapsing *while* we make love... we're supposed to leave that for after..." "Scully, did I ever tell you that I like the way you think?" Dana Scully grinned at her partner, who was also now her lover. It was the full, bright-eyed smile with teeth. She started to laugh when she heard Mulder's stomach also grumble loudly. "Apparently so does your stomach, lover," Dana said. "So... should we eat?" "I think so..." They sat and ate. Their bodies apparently hungrier for the food than either of them had realised, as they spoke only with looks exchanged, and smiles and gestures. Otherwise, they ate in silence. Quickly and quietly, the meal was over. They were swaying in the silence, dancing to music only they could hear... "It feels so good just to do this with you, Dana..." he murmured into her hair as he held her close. "I love you. You do realise that, right?" "I do... and I love you too, Fox Mulder." Dana smiled. "And, you know, it still doesn't quite feel right to use your first name all the time, but both your names..." "Hey, anything from your lips is beautiful, even if you are cursing someone out... usually it turns out to be me, but hey... I can live with that. It just means you're honest, right?" Dana Scully slipped her hands around and to the back of her partner's neck. She pulled him closer, and met his mouth with her own. Fox Mulder groaned into the kiss he was sharing with his love, and lifted her into his arms, heading for the bedroom in her apartment, still not breaking the kiss, only keeping his eyes open to make for certain of where he was headed. "I want to make love to you properly... in a nice, warm, soft bed." Neither of them was certain if it was an unspoken thought between them, or if one of them had spoken. Not that it really even mattered. Dana found herself in Mulder's arms and he was kissing her tenderly and hungrily at the same time. His touch over her skin was behaving like the element Mulder was most afraid of and setting her senses aflame. "Oh, God, Mulder..." she gasped out as Mulder nuzzled her neck, nipping and licking hotly, even as his lips wandered. He felt her hands slip under his shirt and the heat from her hands was setting *him* on fire as well. He gently laid her down on the bed and his hands began to caress the soft skin of her stomach and chest, pausing every now and then to unbutton a few more buttons on her blouse. "Too many clothes, Mulder..." Dana murmured, grinning madly at him. "Oh, you mean this?" "Yes, Mulder... why don't you get out of your clothes and I'll get out of mine..." "Oh, you mean like a mutual strip tease?" "Something like that..." By that point, it was almost a contest to see who could get out of their clothes the fastest. In the end, it was a tie... literally. Not that it mattered to either of them. As they returned to the fold of each other's arms, there was a mutual moan and sigh of relief. "You feel so good in my arms, Dana..." Mulder murmured, kissing his way down her neck, and feeling her shudder under his ministrations. She pulled his head back up to kiss her and, in doing so, felt him enter her again. She moaned and gasped, feeling him inside of her again. "You know, Dana... I wanted to go slowly..." Mulder mumbled into her shoulder. "What? Six years wasn't slow enough for you?" There was a hint of laughter in Dana's voice. "Oh, I didn't say that..." Mulder answered. With that, he kissed her again, and then moved farther into her slowly, prolonging the sensation of him inside her again, and she almost screamed in the aching anticipation. It was only after he was completely inside her that they began to make love in earnest. This time, it was not rushed or hurried. They explored one another's bodies, making certain they knew exactly what was pleasurable to the other, and then proceeded to take full advantage of the new-found knowledge. The passion continued to grow, yet at the same time there were feelings of infinite tenderness. The feelings both knew were there and always had been there since the start of their partnership only served to bring them even closer. The unspoken bond between them was now practically tangible. They came and climaxed together, as was now familiar, in a blinding light of passion, though this time, as it had been slow and unhurried reaching this point, the light pulsed and lasted for more than a few moments and they could each see the essence of the other. As they bathed in the afterglow of their lovemaking, Fox kissed Dana on top of her head and she stirred slightly. "Dana, I have a question..." he started, kissing her gently on the forehead, and allowing his hands to wander over her soft skin. "Yes, Fox? What is it?" "What took us so long to get to this place?" "You mean finally making love?" she asked, and felt him nod. "I don't know." Fox Mulder laughed, pulling her closer. "Must be an X-File." * * * * * "After that, our relationship actually improved, even though we had to keep our improved relationship from our superiors. It was easy, though, since we had both heard the rumours of the fact that we'd been sleeping together for years now. At least the initial tensions between us were gone, though I must admit, there are still tensions there. And Mulder, my partner, still has his share of more than weird theories on our work. However, that is where I can get to why I was writing to you to start with. I found love in the last place I ever thought to look and found it looking right back at me." --- "So, Red Shoes, let this be a lesson learned from me to you. Love might actually be looking you right in the eye and you might not even know it. Don't give up. Just sign me Open to Extreme Possibilities.'" The man finished reading and then looked at the dog. "This Mulder sounds like a very lucky guy. Well, Stella, what do you think? Should I keep my mind open to extreme possibilities?" The dog barked, and he smiled kindly at it. "Yeah, me too. I've always been a firm believer in extreme possibilities." He pulled out a bag of bread from his coat pocket and started throwing crumbs into the pond for the ducks. -The End- (Roll credits)
